Our Story

In June 2025, a local child was involved in a drowning accident.
In the immediate aftermath, everyone wanted to help. But fundraisers take time to set up, and they require a great deal of planning and manpower.
S.C.A.R.L.E.T.T. was created with one hope: to have a fund already in place so near-immediate help can be provided to local families facing emergencies.
Because when a family is in crisis, support should not have to wait.

How We Operate

S.C.A.R.L.E.T.T. provides indirect financial assistance and support services to eligible individuals and families residing in rural Southwest Missouri.
Assistance may include, but is not limited to:
Payment of bills or expenses directly to vendors or service providers
Provision of essential household goods
Temporary emergency support services
Food assistance
Transportation assistance
Home-related assistance
Resource referrals
Other charitable support approved by the Board of Directors
Assistance is intended to help individuals and families navigate temporary hardships and is not intended to provide ongoing financial support.
S.C.A.R.L.E.T.T. generally provides assistance through direct payment to service providers, vendors, or through the provision of goods and services rather than direct cash payments to recipients.
